Fully Booked Cookbook Swap

My First blog! I feel inspired! I attended the Fullybooked CookbookswapMarch 4, 2006 . Aside form getting fabulous used (but looks like new!) books and I've been privilaged to met the most interesting people there!
I finally got to meet Lori from dessertcomesfirst blog, she's as intertaining in person as she is on the blog. I've met Imelda Go from Chef's Nook though I haven't had the change to visit her store I've heard a lot of good this about it. Ian, the ice cream man, loved meeting him. I tried dabbling in ice cream making myself I even had my godmother, Ninang Conchita bring back a cuisinart ice cream maker when she visit us from New York. She's a God sent! I'm the only one in my sibling who is blessed with Godparents who I actually see and give me pasalubong and stuff. I guess she can't escape coz she is my father's older sister, oh lucky me! Anyway back to the event. Listening him talk about his ice creams on all those fabulous sounding flavors inspire me to further experiment with my ice cream maker. There's also Grace who's like my mom loves to cook, who kept telling me how she was in awe seeing everyone passionate about food specially desserts! I think she would be a convert sometime soon with all the chocolate book she got!

The cookbook swaping started with Lori explaining each books that would be raffle off later. I got the yellow one in the back My French Kitchen, I can't wait to get started!
